Waitiri Creek Vineyard

Waitiri Creek is a small boutique winery in the Gibbston Valley, Central Otago.  In it’s formative years it was decided to develop a small but distinctive tasting facility on the site.  The owner suggested using a church building to reflect the location on Church Road.  An old Presbyterian Church at Wangaloa on the south eastern coast was subsequently purchased and moved on site, extensively refurbished and an additional building was constructed to house wine, toilets and facilities for the viticultural manager.

The church itself was converted to a tasting and dining room with the original vestry as the kitchen. We provided both architectural services to the project and also environmental (Landscape Architectural) services during the planning and various permission processes.

Unfortunately this doesn’t entitle us to free wine!
