St Heliers School Classroom & Admin
We were invited to design a new block to include 14 classrooms and a new library to replace existing relocatable classrooms and also provide additional classrooms for roll growth.
St Heliers School has had very significant roll growth over a short period of time as a result the site was covered with relocatable classrooms. The brief was to provide the new classroom and library but also to provide a landmark building for the school and to create an unrivalled facility for library and Information Computer Technology.
The building is built around a central courtyard with an open verandah. With a large glazed lobby to the south of the library which acts as an entry feature along with exposed aggregate decorative Precast Panels to the main entry stair.
